A Wrinkle in Time

WrinkleInTimeSuggested by Brad Nelson • Part of a Harry Potteresque series of books, two young boys and a young girl battle “It” which is basically one of many stand-ins for an all-pervasive dark cloud of evil that from time-to-time comes to eclipse (at least spiritually) the whole planet when the people of that planet begin to wander off course.

Anyone else read this book. Anyone else think that Obama and the useful idiots who voted for him (and his type) resembles “an all-pervasive dark cloud of evil that from time-to-time comes to eclipse (at least spiritually) the whole planet when the people of that planet begin to wander off course”?

Brad: I read this whole series of books to my children, over and over again, since I had what would qualify as three families of children. The first three were born in 2-1/2 years, then we had just one so I could have one all by himself, and just under 6 years later we had the baby. I think at one time I had all of L’Engle’s wonderful books memorized. Thanks for the reminder and I just may reread them again.

Thanks for that info, Annie. Mr. Kung had mentioned this book to me and I told him that I thought there was a review or something on this site. Then I remembered I put it here.

It’s an interesting book. I started reading the second book and got side-tracked on something else. But I can certainly recommend this first book as a fun read. Pick a day or night when it’s raining cats and dogs outside and there’s nothing else to do. I think most will be pleasantly surprised. It’s a children’s book, but it has a charm that many adults will like.
