Waking the Giant

I wanted to list every lie Obama has told since he was inaugurated, then I realized the Oath he took was his first all encompassing Presidential lie, so where does one go from there? Being a liar is one thing, but when you lie, know full well you’re lying and still believe what you say because you’re the one who’s saying it – you are certifiable.

Whether Obama has Psychopathy or Narcissistic Personality Disorder, or both, isn’t something most Americans think about. The majority know against all their inner qualms that the man who is president is a sick man. And we have more then two years to watch in horror as he and those of his ilk continue to violently rip our country apart.

There is an apocryphal story that after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Isoroko Yamamoto wrote that he feared a “sleeping giant has been awakened.” Those were prophetic words then. Are they true now? After the events of the last few weeks, I think the giant is no longer sleeping, but as he rubs his eyes he is confused about who is to blame for the mess in his house. Those who made the mess tell him they are angels of light, so whom does he follow?

The only lawful answer for us appears to be the ballot box. The problem with the 2014 election is that no one wants their own state to lose power, so we’ll have to wait and see who the winners will be. Harry Reid always wins Nevada even when his voters know he’s crooked, but at least he’s their crook, and he doesn’t run again until 2016. As for 2016, that’s two YEARS away, when the depredations of the incumbents happen DAILY. More than enough time for over 700 more depredations.

Besides all of the alphabet soup messes, let’s look at just a few of the current scandals rocking the nation:

Bowe Berghdahl, he’s a misunderstood hero, or something. And his fellow soldiers? Oh, yeah, they’re all liars trying to “Swiftboat” him. Although with his loony toon parents I almost feel sorry for Bowe. And Hillary says the five Taliban members released are no danger to us. Right. And she was a great Secretary of State, just ask her.

All this goes on while one of our active duty marines molders in a Mexican prison while Obama does nothing. American citizens in Islamic countries are held hostage and tortured while Obama does nothing. An American citizen’s wife and children are chained in a prison and the wife faces execution while Obama does nothing. NOTHING, a word that echoes in the empty chambers of this feckless man’s head.

The mess on the border has nothing at all to do with Obama or the minions kissing his rear, even though one border agent says the whole fiasco is “orchestrated.” Obama doesn’t even pretend to follow any Immigration or border security laws. And the evil he does is on the backs of innocent children and parents whose heartbreaking situation pierces only the hearts of people of good conscience.

I have not been to Mexico for many years. One of my sons and his family recently decided to move there and he said I could come down in order to see the children. I told him that I had a personal boycott against Mexico so his children would not be seeing their grandma. He was stunned by my attitude, but went to visit friends there to decide where he would settle. He returned a sadder but wiser man after seeing what filth and real poverty looked like. Why don’t we all boycott Mexico?

And now the lawless Mexican government is facilitating the assault on our border by armed thugs and drug dealers, while the children used as helpless pawns in this disgraceful situation are of no consequence to any of the heartless evil people perpetrating the hoax.

At this moment Iraq is falling and wholesale butchery is taking place. And Obama does nothing but blame Bush. Afghanistan is next, and Obama does nothing. Of course nothing ever is Obama’s fault. The poor baby is so helpless. It would seem the really big boys have his number. I know from my Arab friends that they want an enemy they can at least respect. That sure ain’t Obama.

Obama does nothing but sow discord and pain wherever he meddles, and he sees and admires only his own beautiful image wherever he looks.

We have a giant in our land, and yes, it is waking, to confusion. Where is the leader the giant can follow? What sign or person is there, NOW, in this very minute of peril, that that giant, the American people who love their country, can turn to?

If the giant is truly awake then it needs our every effort in the preservation of liberty. That requires a leader before it’s too late. That is undoubtedly my own impatience and faltering faith speaking. At times I wonder if we have ten good men left to save us.

I argue this matter with God on a regular basis. I remind myself that He knows all His works from the beginning, that I don’t know enough to be in charge and faith requires me to turn from despair. The Lord said to be of good cheer for He is with us always. Maybe He is trying to teach me patience and trust – and forgiveness and good cheer.

Lately that has been a tall order, especially the good cheer. But I will try to smile and count my blessings with gratitude. • (1028 views)

    Looking at what is happening around the world, the greatest blessing remains that we are Americans. Very few people have our degree of safety and freedom of expression, however much our leftist enemies seek to destroy both.

    You seem to have Barry Screwtape Obama’s basic attitude pegged pretty well. A good case can be made that he’s an overwhelming narcissist, but that’s probably common among politicians. One reason I reviewed Butler’s The Other Side of the Night here is his description of the sociopathic personality, and its similarity to that of the Fascist Messiah.

    The horror of the border human crisis demonstrates once and for all just how Evil our ruling class is. Their actions encouraged this, and now that it’s happening, they do nothing to prevent further horrors and little to help their victims — even though they always proclaim their desire to control our lives “for the children”. But aristos have never really cared about the peasants.

    Much of what you report — such as Feckless Leader’s lack of interest in rescuing a Marine held in durance vile in Mexico, or the wife and children of an American citizen held in even more atrocious circumstances in Sudan, as contrasted with his eagerness to trade 5 terrorists (probably gratuitously, since the Haqqani network had no reason to care about a bunch of Taliban leaders, in which case the trade can reasonably be considered treasonous under the Constitution) for a deserter — reflects his own hatred of normality and (especially) ordinary Americans.

      Frantz Fanon, Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohn, Michelle, his loser dad, his loser mom, his Che worshiping professors, Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright, ACORN, and any who spat on the flag, all taught him everything he knows.

    I disagree. If the avaricious, lawless mob continues to vote us into tyranny I do not buy that we must put up our hands, smile and start singing slave songs as we work our hearts and souls for Massa!

      “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness — That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it” — well, we have the moral right of rebellion in extremis. But of course, anniel is quite right that this isn’t a legal response, legality being determined by the very government that is becoming destructive of our rights.

    Thank you for your great posts Anniel.

    Regarding child dumping at the border, we have to change the questions to: “What kind of parents do this to their kids?!” And “What kind of countries/governments allow this to happen to their citizens?!” That is where the real changes need to take place, as letting them live here just continues their evil behavior. Though I have little hope for reason with this current regime and its propagandist media.

    This and your previous post have had me think more about the book St. Therese of Lisieux called the greatest grace of her life. It has also been for me, in a different way. I thought I would share a brief passage with you, and others like me who are at their wit’s end with the evil and stupidity running rampant around us.

    Father Charles Arminjon’s “The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life” written in France in 1881 and based on several conferences to help people lift their minds and hearts from this earthly turmoil to win the greater prize of eternity with God. Everything old is repeated again as evidenced in this passage:

    “At present many signs point to a great victory for Christianity. Do not our enemies have a presentiment of it? Does not a secret instinct warn them that the days of their power are numbered, and that the time when it is given to them to prevail cannot be of long duration? This is why they enlist in the war they wage against the Church all the hateful corruption, all the hypocrisies anxious to drop their masks, all the hostile sciences [climate change/global warming?], all the shady and godless politics. The revolution boldly raises its standard against religion, property, and the family; saps the foundations of the social structure; and mounts its attacks against us simultaneously, and on every front. The press, freed from every restraint, disseminates the most subversive doctrines and the deadliest poisons in a thousand organs.
    We can understand that, in such a situation, the mighty should feel irresolute in their counsels, and their courage and constancy seem to falter.     Rosalys – you’ve hit the crux of the problem. No, I will not be a slave, but HOW do we do what needs doing NOW? How do you and I act in such a way as to help our land? Nik helps with info on the strengths and weaknesses of who’s in the wings for the next election. Our prayers and teaching help, but our reach is limited as to a plan for the next two-and-a-half years. Maybe all our heads together will help.
