Shar’ia Happens

by Glenn Fairman5/25/16

I do not believe in my heart of hearts that Muslims are by nature anymore predisposed to anger and sex-control issues than the average Occidental chap. But when the skewed lens of religion and a primitive monolithic civil law reinforce: human predation, murder, rape and bestiality, those resulting “anti-virtues” work in diabolic tandem to sanction the lowest common moral denominator in men.

When the golden bar of human dignity and ethical conscience is set at such subterranean levels, and is even glorified as emanating unalloyed from the very “Mind of God” — “shar’ia happens.”

Yes. Non-Muslim modern cultures still (for the moment) teach men not to be predators. Islam, being misogynistic and designed for desert raiders, blames women for any such predation, thereby encouraging the worst of men to do as they please. And this encourages other men to join the worst in their misbehavior.

    Culture is everything!!!

A good, orthodox, and dedicated Christian looks like Saint Francis.

A “good,” orthodox, and dedicate Muslim looks like Osama bin Laden.

One of the issues this whole transgender business brings to the fore is relativism…the idea that moral systems are just another dress that Bruce Jenner can put on or take off, depending on what show he is on that day. Moral systems are just a habit, a construct, a mere expression of someone’s idea….no different or necessarily better than someone else’s.

This is the world (at least the Progressive portion of it) that cannot tell the difference between Saint Francis and Osama bin Laden. This is not a quip or intellectual point. This is serious stuff. Imagine if our taste buds were as screwed up. We’d be eating excrement for dinner and saying we liked it.

But it’s more than just moral confusion. Our world views, to some extent, are shaped by the information we have been given. And much of that information has been wrong. Its a case of garbage-in, garbage-out. And that’s understandable if still regrettable.

But the excrement icing on this cake is that many people really enjoy thinking of Osama bin Laden and his ilk as good (or at least as innocent victims) and Saint Francis (and if not Saint Francis, at least those who share his faith) as bad. They absolutely revel is putting down Christians as knuckle-dragging dumb-shits while heaping praise on Islam which supposedly saved the West and would still be living out its superior Golden Age if not for those nasty Crusaders.

It’s one thing to be misinformed. But that doesn’t explain the clear enthusiasm people have for evil. That is the troubling aspect.
