In abortion, subjectivism reaches the apex of its folly: The fetus as chattel property. What determines whether a child is human enough to be deserving of life has nothing to do with its physiology. It is the whim of the property owner that ultimately determines whether this life proceeds in joy or tragedy. Liberalism, in championing enlightenment, self-actualization and autonomy, has backed itself into a savage garden of misshapen virtues. Having sought the light on its own terms, it fell because it traded its patrimony for a mess of pottage. It is falling still…..
