Reaping What We’ve Sown

by Fashqn8/28/15

I believe my Bible makes it very clear that back in the beginning of days
God created man, and then woman; with each unique in their own special ways

But now mankind has decided ; they know better than what God knew then
And they want us to stop the clear distinctions; once found between women and men

They’re changing our public restrooms; so any sex can go anywhere
And if this leads to more crime or to rapes; they don’t seem to consider or care

They’re changing the wording in legal documents; instead now of mom and dad
They’re using ‘parent one’ and ‘parent two’ to reflect this ‘enlightenment’ they’ve had

This world is in a moral decline ; unlike what we’ve viewed before now
We can’t understand why things are changing so fast; why we got here or how

When the answer is so very simple; we’ve turned our back and our eyes
From seeking the will of God Himself ; and living like Jesus Christ

To satisfying our every desire; our lusts; our passions ; our whims
With no thought of the consequences ; or the judgment that will come for our sins

Many tune in to watch “Caitlyn Jenner’ begin his or her brand new show
While around us so many are being killed and yet TOO many don’t even know

Our principles are fading fast , it seems; our priorities too, there’s no doubt
We’re much entertained by what once was insane; as our many transgressions we flout

But God is not a God who will be mocked; even though His mercies are great
We have brought a new world upon ourselves that is filled with depravity and hate

We’ll regret staying silent; and pay the high cost; our ‘freedom’ will end up in tears
When we stare horrified at the acts of mankind; meeting head on our deepest of fears

Sin left to fester and grow out of bounds; is sin that will break us apart
And the problem is not which gender we are; it’s a problem found deep in the heart

My hope for this country, and indeed, for the globe ; is that eyes will be opened by prayer
That a spiritual revival will sweep through the land; bringing wisdom and change everywhere

For I shudder to think how much worse is ahead; how much further down we might go
If left to ourselves; pushing God far aside; we finally reap what we’ve sown

Very beautiful and timely. Thank you for tackling tough subjects.

Well, so far there is resistance to transgendering bathrooms, eliminating “husband” and “wife” from legal documents, and using sex-neutral third-person singular pronouns. So far they’re mostly mere proposals — but sooner or later they’ll be approved in a weird place (such as California), and we shall see if they can be blocked from going nationwide.

Mine, too. I believe we have gone so far that it is our only hope.
