Obama’s Political Correctness Okays Child Rape?

SoldierAndChildby Leigh Bravo9/29/15
Is this really the United States we were meant to be? I find the path in which we are headed becomes more perverse everyday I read the news.  The latest? A Green Beret is dismissed from the Army because he confronted a child rapist in Afghanistan! Since when does the United States accept the rape of children during war-time an acceptable activity? What if the activity is happening on military bases?

The New York Times published a piece detailing how United States soldiers have been instructed to ignore the sexual rape and abuse of Afghan boys because “it’s their culture.” Soldiers have been told they will be punished and/or discharged for stopping a sexual assault on a child while in Afghanistan.  Charles Martland, a decorated Green Beret was kicked out of Special Forces because he came to the defense of a child and his mother after the boy was raped and the mother beat up for reporting the crime.

As reported in the New York Times piece,

““The reason we were here is because we heard the terrible things the Taliban were doing to people, how they were taking away human rights,” said Dan Quinn, a former Special Forces captain who beat up an American-backed militia commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave. “But we were putting people into power who would do things that were worse than the Taliban did — that was something village elders voiced to me.”

The policy of instructing soldiers to ignore child sexual abuse by their Afghan allies is coming under new scrutiny, particularly as it emerges that service members like Captain Quinn have faced discipline, even career ruin, for disobeying it.

After the beating, the Army relieved Captain Quinn of his command and pulled him from Afghanistan. He has since left the military.”

It has been tough going for troops since President Obama took office. Not only have troops been told to look the other way when children are brutally raped, the Rules of engagement, which were changed and enacted by President Obama in 2009, have been blamed for the increase in casualties, which have more than doubled since the Democrat took office.

It is no accident nor a coincidence that from January 2009 to August of 2010, coinciding with the Obama/McChrystal radical change of the ROE, casualties more than doubled,” Simmons went on. “The carnage will certainly continue as the already fragile and ineffective [rules] have been further weakened by the Obama administration as if they were playground rules.”

A new Congressional report is also showing that the United States is losing the battle against stopping the flow of foreign fighters leaving the US to join ISIS. The report says that  in the last 9 months over 7000 foreign fighters have joined ISIS in their fight with more than 250 Americans joining their ranks as well. What is the administration doing to stop these fighters from being trained by terrorists then returning to the United States? A Congressional task force said,

“The fighters pose “a triple threat,” the group wrote in a summary of its findings: “they strengthen terrorist groups, incite others back home to conduct attacks, and can return themselves to launch acts of terror.””

Because the United States is fighting a war against Islamic terrorism, our government has become more politically correct in regards to Muslims and are now changing our very laws to accommodate them.  New York public schools, funded by taxpayers, will now close their doors in observance of the Muslim Holidays of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. New York has been joined by Vermont, Massachusetts, Michigan and New Jersey.

Parents across the country have become outraged at the public school system which has made exceptions for the teaching of Islam within our classrooms.

This has happened while the same public school systems have now opted to eliminate all mention of Christmas and Rash Hashana from school calendars.

President Obama says we must embrace the cultures of Islam here in the United Stares and that the “future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” However, if, as a result,  we must turn our heads at the rape of children because it is just part of their culture….or we must accept the rape and abuse of young girls who are forced to marry before they even reach their teens because it is a part of their culture…if Islam demands the death of gays and the stoning of women…..then I choose not to embrace these cultures.

    Leigh,
The story of Captain Quinn is horrifying. Our military leaders who let the rapes and tortures happen because “that’s their culture” should be cashiered and never be in a position of authority over troops again. But it begins at the very top of the chain and we all know who that is.

I’m trying to keep my faith up because I do know that God is still in charge. It’s that so many children are harmed in the meantime and so many supposed adults seem not to care.

Assuming we get a decent President next year, one necessity will be a thorough house-cleaning of the entire government — including the military.

Quaint, I know. But the fish rots from the head. Obama has emasculated the military. Anyone in command who dares to stand up to his insanity will sacrifice his career.

The disease vectors Obama has injected into the military are damaging our defense and our defenders. Just one example is the introduction of women into combat arms specialties. This concept has been studied and shown to lower effectiveness and morale. Likely the topper, though, is the homosexual Secretary of the Army.

I left the military and abandoned a successful career due to Jimmy Carter. In comparison with Obama, he was almost a warmonger.

Our military has been rotted out from the inside by the Left. Hey, if sodomy is okay — even commendable — how can one, at heart, stand against other sexual perversions? Certainly pedophilia or pedastry are “out there” enough that some still see a difference. But the acceptance of sodomy as “marriage” severely weakens any moral argument you can make against other sexual perversions.

Add in the bizarre dogma of multiculturalism (all cultures are of value and appropriate to their own people) and the normal moral ethic has all but evaporated. After all, “Who are we to say how others should live?” This has been the relativist mantra from the Left for decades now which was used to normalize their own perversions, drug use, or other dodgy behavior.

Why not child rape? Who are we to say? Everything is relative.

Some or all of you no doubt are familiar with the old Indian custom of suttee — in which wives would be burned on the funeral pyres of their husbands. The British got rid of this custom, to the annoyance of many Hindus (the subject comes up in the Flashman book on the Indian mutiny). They noted that it was the Indian custom to burn wives that way, and it was the British custom to hang the murderes of women. “So you can follow your custom, and we will follow ours.”

That was the first thought that came to my mind.

“Be it so, prepare the funeral pyre. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs.”

      Where are such men now?

One thing that Obama reinforces in me is that there is evil in the world. Not just disagreements. Not just a different way to see the world. Anyone who actively promotes a system that penalizes those who would protect children from pedophiles is evil. The same with the abortion issue.

I’m with Rush Limbaugh on all this. With all the material offered by Obama and the Left, it’s a marvelous political opportunity for the Republicans. But they won’t take it.

The current GOP is a facilitator of this evil. They have become a corrupt and near useless party. Out with all of these bastards and start again.

Well, we got rid of John Boehner. Of course, this reminds me of a “Hagar the Horrible” cartoon in which Hagar is challenged by “a thousand bloody Bulgars”. When he says he will stop them, the leader collapses into hysterical laughter — after which Lucky Eddie tells Hagar, “Wow, you only have 999 to go.”
