Musing for the Day at Hand

by Glenn Fairman7/4/15

What are the limits of a malignant republic’s degradation when it surrenders its first principles with hardly a whimper? Do not be unaware: a regime that has the power to equalize both public and private possesses tyrannical power. In the near future, we shall find out intimately just what such power entails. It is a power that no free man can flourish beneath — a concentrated coercive power that our Founders would never have sanctioned. They understood well the conceit and presumption of the human heart and that the first fruits of iron benevolence inevitably turn towards servitude.

Today, while you are enjoying the pleasure of God’s bounty amidst family and friends, please reflect, even in passing, what we have lost and what yet remains of a once great republic.
