Lie, Often and Early, No One Remembers

The early lies told by Hilary about Trump finally get caught, and no one cares anymore because they have forgotten. Remember Alicia Machado? No? Oh, surely you do. Miss Universe 1996?
Surely you remember that she gained 60 plus pounds and Trump referred to her as, Miss Piggy was it? And called her the Housekeeper and wanted to strip her of her title, or whatever other nefarious things he had in mind.

Hillary gobsmacked him with the accusation after 11 years and he couldn’t answer her assertions. Then all the offended females began crawling out of the walls and sewers to swear Trump was a misogynist sexist pig who groped and grabbed all women. All certainly true and not to be questioned, of course.

However, someone from Wikileaks has revealed what really happened.

In 1996 Donald Trump and his new Miss Universe partners held a press conference, with Miss Machado present. Trump said nothing negative about her at all. In fact, he complemented her beauty several times and told the press how hard she had worked and dieted to get in shape. Then he mentioned how people sometimes ate poorly when working hard, as he himself did. He joked with the reporters about their poor shape, too. At that time Machado was down to 117 or 118 pounds and was exercising improperly and always stressing out over her weight and looks.

The pageant directors had hired a physical trainer for her. Trump introduced him and asked him to tell the news people what his plans were. The trainer said that Machado was very UNDERWEIGHT at 117 pounds, so her muscles were shortened and bulky. He wanted to take her weight UP to between 125 or 130 pounds, lengthen out and smooth her long muscles, and he swore she would look thinner that way. She would appear to be 117 pounds and much more happy and beautiful when he had completed his training.

Not once did Trump say she was anything but lovely and wish her the very best.

Wikileaks revealed that Clinton had a copy of that publicly available tape for over a year before lying about what it said at the first debate. No wonder Trump was flummoxed.

But at this point what difference does it make? It’s just another stale-dated lie that no one remembers. • (734 views)

Well, it would have helped Trump greatly if he had pointed out the actual facts and left it at that. He was hurt most by comments he made after the debate, which kept the “controversy” alive. But I do notice the similarity between the sudden accusations of groping by Trump and the similar accusations against Herman Cain in 2011 — which disappeared after they had served their purpose. So it will be here.

    • Anniel says:

How do you point out the actual facts when no one is listening, nor will the MSM report what the facts are? Or is this a case of no good deed goes unpunished?

I actually feel sorry for Alicia Machado, she had the misfortune of dealing with Hillary Clinton and her crew of demons. No wonder she finally withdrew from participation.

I do not have any particular sympathy for Machado. She is a big girl and chose to get involved with Hilary Clinton. Furthermore, from what I recall reading after looking into this affair, she is a whorish type who was a drug king’s moll. There were other unsavory things about her, which I do not recall. In any case, any woman who runs for Miss Universe cannot be anything but ambitious and worldly. I am trying to be kind here.

That presidential candidates lie is not news as anyone knows who has heard the joke, “How can you tell if a politician is lying? He’s talking.”

What I find absolutely crazy is that calling a woman “Miss Piggy” is supposed to be a big deal. Even if he did call her that, “Who cares?” Or perhaps I should ask, “Which adult would care?”

        • Anniel says:

I have been considering what you say, and Machado may have been seduced by fame and fortune. But she has a child and has now sought the protection of a “capo”, perhaps without realizing there are orders of criminality. It is my feeling that she might not have known that Clinton, Inc. is the capo de capo, so she will be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life since she fled them. Like many others, I might add. Do I approve of her? No, but I often wonder what hope she can possibly have for her child.

It seems to me, from this article at the New York Times, it appears that neither party denies she had gained unwanted weight. Whether Trump engaged in personal insults or not, I don’t know. But what you seem to be saying, Annie, is that she never had a weight problem at all.

I don’t know what the truth is. But it seems highly plausible that Trump is the sort of person to hurl nasty little insults, remembering that he called Ben Carson a pedophile and claimed Ted Cruz’s father was involved with Lee Harvey Oswald in the Kennedy assassination.

Your article comes across as one-sided pro-Trump propaganda. And if it is true that she never gained weight, where is the source of your information for the physical trainer?

It seems to me, you’ve added more noise to the whole question of what the truth is. As an impartial observer, and one who doesn’t read People magazine or watch Entertainment Tonight, I have no idea what the facts are. But the cacophony of “he-said, she said” gets louder and I have no idea what really happened.

But we have a woman here that was obviously angry enough to take a shot at Trump. But what is she, a victim or a liar? Why is it her misfortune to get involved with Hillary? The allegations may be true. Whatever the case may be, it seems clear it was a conscious act (unless there was blackmail or death threats involved) by Machado to go public with this at this time. And a woman with the brass balls it takes to win a beauty contest could hardly be described as a “victim” of Hillary.

An in the time it took to write this, no doubt the public debt went up by a few million dollars. The irony is that truth doesn’t particularly matter in this election as much as propaganda and marketing. Many of the issues, even if they have bite in terms of politics, are trivial. Trump, as I understand it, makes his money now via “branding,” via sticking his name on things. Prestige is his main asset. He couldn’t have married anything but a trophy wife in his profession. He has to look to always be living the lifestyles of the rich and famous. He has to bombastically answer any allegation against him — true or false — because his foundation is built upon marketing sand and the kind of solid superficiality that only media stars seem to have.

I don’t really give a flying fart if he insulted a Miss Universe about her weight. But it matters to a lot of women voters who have made great strides in society via constantly portraying themselves as victims. This was a ready-made issue for Hillary. She used it well.

In the meantime, the guy who is supposed to be an expert in branding and marketing keeps bouncing off the walls, unwilling or unable to have a consistent and disciplined message. One is a low-brow demagogue. The other is a Nixonian crook (with some apologies to Nixon who wasn’t 1/12 as corrupt as Hillary). Nothing about Miss Piggy — whoever is telling the truth — changes these facts.

Interesting take on my motivations as a Trump supporter. I was actually more interested in what a long term liar Hillary is and how much time is spent on her Kabuki theater. Does she even recognize lies vs. truth anymore? Do her partners in crime and die-hard supporters even care? If they don’t, then trying to stop them becomes an unwinnable battle, a real battle for the soul of America.

    • Brad Nelson Brad Nelson says:

I’ll grant you two things, Annie: In this culture of lies it is difficult to ascertain the truth, even if you want to. Second, many people do not want to.

    • Timothy Lane says:

The FBI began its investigation of Slick Hilly in August 2015. Since then, Democrats have known what might happen. They simply closed their minds (to the extent that that actually have minds) to the possibility of an indictment (or reasonably assumed no one would have the guts to do it). And, in tribal liberal fashion, they treated every criticism as just right-wing propaganda (aided by the rarity of the synoptic media covering them significantly and critically). The corrupted American news media opened the way for a hideous electoral choice — aided and abetted by the corruption of Beltway Bandits of both parties.

      • Brad Nelson Brad Nelson says:

It will be interesting to see if this tightens the race. Frankly, I don’t trust the polls. I don’t really know what to make of them. I don’t trust either side. But I suspect we’re fast approaching the point where even a Ronald Reagan couldn’t get elected. We’ll see. I don’t have much faith and it’s based, I hope, in reason. The official analysis by women of the Left is that they’re not put off by the sins of their politicians (for the most part) as long as they are forwarding the cause and use the secret-handshake lingo such as “diversity,” etc.

        • Anniel says:

That observation is chilling to me. Bear says he is absolutely astounded by the Clinton’s depravity, and the lengths to which they will go for power. All we can do at this juncture is shake our heads and pray for not too badly corrupted elections.

God is still in charge and tells us to be of good cheer. I’m trying.

Bear says he is absolutely astounded by the Clinton’s depravity, and the lengths to which they will go for power.

Americans have been pretty lucky with those who have become president, when compared with the history of the rest of the world. This is why it is so disheartening that the people have dropped the ball and allowed such a black-hearted bitch as Hillary to become the Dem nominee.

As bad as Roosevelt and even Obama may be, we have yet to have our Stalin, Mao, Lenin, Hitler, Tito, Mussolini, Napoleon, Henry VIII, Ghengis Khan, Pol Pot, Shaka, Tamerlane, Mohamed, Tojo, Nero and hundreds of other psychopathic blood-thirty monsters who will, literally, march over the bodies of others to gain power.

If we stay on this path, who knows what is in store for us?

            • Anniel says:

The battle for freedom never ends. I hope and pray that we still have enough people with the guts out there to wage such a war. So far when the need arises we seem to have the new George Washingtons when we need them. And sometimes they come from Nowheresville, USA.

I do wonder where my children and grandchildren will be in this big picture of history below the surface of politics. Guess I’ll have to watch and cheer them on from the other side of what lies between us and eternity.

              • Brad Nelson Brad Nelson says:

The battle for freedom never ends.

What would be of particular interest, Annie, (especially for anyone looking for an article idea) would be to do an informal survey of people, young and old, to get their definition of “freedom.”

Freedom, for us older farts, probably means the freedom to chart your own course with minimum interference from the government. It’s not about what government will do for you but about what government won’t do to you — all within a framework of self-controlling Judeo-Christian ethics.

Freedom for yutes likely is centered more around “freedom from racism (as they define it),” “freedom from want,” “sexual/gender freedom, “freedom from environmental catastrophe,” etc. Or maybe not. But the point is, it’s become very easy to say these words and not delve into the real-world ways people think about them.

I’ll bet you that Hillary Clinton agrees with you 100% that “the battle for freedom never ends.” But I’ll bet she has an entirely different concept of freedom.

        • Timothy Lane says:

Some years ago, it came out that Al Gore had been guilty of some sort of sexual abuse — and the woman hadn’t reported it because her friends persuaded her that it would harm the Cause (in this case, fighting global warming aka climate change).
