I Love You Anyway

by Fashqn1/5/17

Even when there’s total quiet every time I pray
I choose to trust that You are there
I love you anyway

Even though the earth is rife with terror, war, decay
I choose to trust You’re in control
I love you anyway

Even though I can’t believe what many people say
I choose that You are always good
I love you anyway

Even when I’ve struggled long, and battled every day
I choose to give the fight to You
I love you anyway

Even when the tears still fall, and peace is kept at bay
I choose to think Your comfort’s near
I love you anyway

Even though so many scoff, and laugh my faith away
I choose to keep believing
I love you anyway

Even if there were no Heaven, or eternal glorious day
I choose to give my heart to You
I love you anyway

For even though you see my sins, my failure to always obey
You chose to send Your Son for me
You love me anyway

Elizabeth’s comment on this was succinct: “Amen” — which some of us are aware means “So be it: in addition to being the standard ending of a Christian prayer.

  2. Anniel says:

Amen and Amen forever. Thank you fashqn.
