Homeland Security Advertises for Babysitters

Once again, the Obama administration claims surprise about the flood of illegal minors at the border, however, an ad placed by DHS tells a different story.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) started advertising for escorts for thousands of illegal minors months before they even showed up. Here is a copy of the ad they posted almost 6 months ago.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has a continuing and mission critical responsibility for accepting custody of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) from U.S. Border Patrol and other Federal agencies and transporting these juveniles to Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) shelters located throughout the continental United States.

Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total:

1) The contractor could initially provide transportation services only in the Southwest Region of the U.S. for those juveniles who are apprehended in the state of Texas; or, (2) The Contractor may be required to provide transportation services for all juveniles who are in DHS custody throughout the continental U.S.

So how did the administration know that they would be having over 65,000 illegal children rushing the border? Why would they be advertising for babysitters to care for and transport these children around cities in the US before anyone even knew they were coming? Why would they not make arrangements to protect the borders if, in fact, they were expecting the surge? Bring in the National Guard? Hire more border agents?

The United States is now expecting over 90,000 illegal children to pour over the border in the next 6 months alone, and over 140,000 next year. More than 33,000 have been picked up in Texas since October. Now, Central American families with parents and children are surging the borders as well. This year alone, 42,000 have crossed the border. Since the government has only 96 beds, almost all of them are given court dates and released into the country, where they disappear and are never deported.

Thousands have been sent to other states without the prior knowledge of local governments in the states where they were literally dumped. Arizona Governor, Jan Brewer said she is “disturbed and outraged” after federal officials informed her that not only has the government been shipping illegal immigrants out of Texas and “dumping” them in her state, it has no plans to stop. These illegals are being sent to Massachusetts, Maryland and Virginia among other states.

Michelle Maulkin, of the National Review reported that a law enforcement source in Texas told her that countless illegal aliens are being released into the general public despite testing positive for tuberculosis. “The feds are putting them on public transportation to God knows where.”

What is the policy that President Obama instituted that has caused this influx to our borders?

It is called the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). He rolled out the Action in 2012, which allows illegal immigrants who came to the United States as minors to escape deportation for 2 years. The White House gave them another 2-year window earlier this month. Since Obama passed DACA, 12 times as many kids are coming into the country illegally.

What is the cost of housing the thousands of kids? Estimates are that the American taxpayer is forking over $252+ per day per child, and estimates say court dates will not be realized for at least 5 years due to a shortage of immigration judges and the increase in illegals entering the country. The administration has also set aside an additional $2 million in taxpayer dollars to cover their lawyer’s fees. Now, reports are surfacing that illegals are being placed into Obamacare.

In Oregon alone, 4000 illegals were placed into the healthcare system via Obamacare. This is in direct violation of the law. But, if the law is broken everyday by allowing illegals into the country, what is to stop them from being allowed to gain taxpayer-funded healthcare while millions of law-abiding Americans have seen their insurance cancelled. When is enough enough?

In December, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen wrote,

“This court is quite concerned with the apparent policy of the Department of Homeland Security of completing the criminal mission of those who are violating the border security of the United States. The DHS should enforce the laws of the United States – not break them.”

Currently immigration officials are releasing the immigrants into the United States to reunite with families that are also here illegally. One woman said she was told by immigration,

“You are free, you can leave.”

What is the process when these children arrive in the United States?

The responsibility falls under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). However, they turn them over to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The contract to escort these kids says they will be turned over to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Who are they and what do they do?

From their website:

“The ORR provides new populations with opportunities to maximize their potential in the United States linking people in need to critical resources to assist them in becoming integrated members of American Society.”

So, if these illegal children are turned over to the ORR, are they then categorized as refugees? If they are classified as refugees instead of illegal immigrants the ORR will adjust their refugee status to lawful permanent resident within one year of their arrival and they become eligible for US citizenship after just 5 years. How does that affect the immigrants who came into the country legally and must wait much longer to be granted status as permanent residents?

In New York, State Senator Guestavo Rivera (Democrat) introduced a new bill that would grant citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants and non-citizen residents including access to state tuition assistance and health insurance programs, the ability to apply for driver’s and professional licenses and the right to vote in state and local elections.

So now, there is a push from Democrats not just to put out the red carpet, but to legalize these immigrants, and register them to vote. Was this the intent of the Obama administration all along?

The United States has offered Amnesty seven times since 1976. Each time blanket amnesty was given border security was never improved. President Obama continues to say, “the border is as secure as it has ever been.” He has chastised Republicans by saying,

“We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for, we’ve done. But even though we’ve answered these concerns, I’ve got to say I suspect there are still going to be some who are trying to move the goals posts on us one more time. They’ll want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. Maybe they want alligators in the moat. They’ll never be satisfied. And I understand that. That’s politics.”

If border security was, in fact, up to speed, then why do we continue to have millions of illegal immigrants crossing over into the United States year after year?

The administration acknowledges that most of the illegal immigrant children surging across the border will remain in the country for years while their cases wind through the immigration courts. In the meantime, who is paying for these unaccompanied minors? The taxpayer.

How long can the American taxpayer continue to pick up the tab for the surge of illegals invading our country? How can this administration continue to support and provide taxpayer dollars to illegals when they continue to ignore Americans and their needs? We have already seen how our Veterans have been treated and it is becoming quite clear that illegals are treated with a red carpet welcome while our own citizens are ignored. Who is the priority? When will politics finally be taken out of the picture? What is the law of the land and when will it be enforced? When will the President and his followers finally listen to the American taxpayer when they stand up and say…….

ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!

If the DHS won’t actually protect the border, defund it and transfer the funds to the states for their National Guards. (The Constitution forbids states from levying war — unless they’re invaded or in imminent danger. Both Texas and Arizona qualify at present.)

As for Slick Barry and his Gang lying about when they knew what was happening (or about to happen), the only surprise would be if they ever told the truth. So far, it hasn’t happened — ever.

Just found out that the feds are considering a site in my school district to house some of these kids. Frankly, I’m puzzled. If we know what countries they came from, why are they already not on a plane heading back to that country’s airport and delivery to whatever passes for child welfare agencies there? They plan on being here on a permanent basis? No ruling yet as to whether my district will be required to educate them, but if they will be there for any period of time, that would normally be required, just like otherwise homeless children being housed in district.

And, of course, we all know that the Obama Administration has absolutely no intent to return these kids to their countries of origin. As we speak, they are probably diligently trying to reunite them with their parents already here illegally, then releasing them all into the general population. Of course, were any of us to leave our child alone in a car in a shopping mall’s parking lot, the state would be diligently trying to revoke our parental rights, but if you are here illegally and you choose to send your kid on an unescorted trek across a continent to join you here (also illegally), we will diligently try to reunite you in recognition of your obvious deep concern for your progeny.

    Effin pathetic.

This is something that should be remembered every time an amnesty shill prates that we should legalize all those who didn’t commit any crimes (other than illegal entry, of course, which the cheap labor lobby doesn’t consider a crime since they benefit corruptly from it). Identity theft, abandonment of children, human trafficking (some of these young people are gang members and/or seriously diseased, so perhaps we should send them to the nearest Occupy rally) . . . but as long as the big donors aren’t the victims, they don’t care. Mississippi has shown how little regard they have for ordinary people, even those in what they claim to be their own party. (And when someone openly hates you, the proper response from my point of view is to hate them back tenfold. “Do unto others as they do unto you.” It’s the real life working-out of the Prisoners’ Dilemma.)

Not only are these kids never going to be returned, there was a group of pro-amnesty supporters around the country today protesting that these kids parents and families should be bought over as well. I am with you Kurt…if we can afford to put them on chartered planes and drop them around the US, why not take them back home? This is absolutely infuriating….they are using our taxpayer dollars to fund these kids and give them healthcare and educate them while we have no choices and worse, they get better healthcare than our Vets……The question is what can we do???

The cost needn’t be that high, because we can take it out of whatever foreign aid or other payments we make to Mexico (which allows them to be smuggled through their country despite strict laws against illegal immigration) and the Central American countries exporting these invaders. That would do a lot to stop the invasion. But few if any people in either party (probably no Democrats) will ever have the nerve to do that.
