Don't forget the weaponization of household items, making pure hydrogen in balloons for ignition, (water, red devil lye, aluminum foil, a 2 liter pop bottle and a storage device, the balloon), And we can in no way let it stand that he may be creating a linear magnetic rail gun that fires 3/8" steel ball bearings or other types of projectiles; gun powder, horror of horrors. He truly is a menace.

Even an ex-wife outranks the girlfriend.

Especially if you had children together.

Pat,

I would like to learn how to become the menace your grandson is becoming. But don't forget to teach them how to plant things and make them grow.

Mao mentioned in his writing on guerrilla warfare that many household items could be used as weapons. For that matter, in Caroline Cooney's Resr-View Mirror, a wooden chair is used that way. Jonathan Hemlock made similar observations in explaining why he always won fights despite knowing no formal martial arts in The Loo Samction.

My grandpa wasn't near as fun. If you're grandchildren survive you, they'll look back on many precious memories, Pat. Maybe a few superficial scars to stoke the memories as well.

Mr. Kung, I leave that chore for grandma, and she does it well. If I hadn't used so many drugs as a yute, I might remember how to make much more interesting things from when I was a kid. I now have 20-20 hind sight and I see and very much appreciate all the times God kept me from real harm. There can be no other explanation from my perspective. So Yes Brad, there have been some small scars already, but I hope those do teach some lessons that they can build on. Timothy I do not know the reference, but I have used a wooden chair as a weapon before. I that case the chair broke, but unfortunately, my older brother did not, but that was just another lesson to learn.

My mother's second husband once attacked me with an electric broom, breaking it. I couldn't do any harm to him, but neither was he able to harm me -- probably from being drunk. In the Cooney novel, the woman kept hitting the villain (who had been planning to cut off one of her ears) until there were no pieces of the chair big enough to hit him with, long after he no doubt was dead. It was a very emotionally satisfying ending.

Pat, my friend, you just described the truly one and only worthwhile mission of this site: Conservative Cumbaya.

It loses something in the alliterative spelling. I was just out pruning, watering, tying-up (no new-fangled cages for me), and otherwise fussing over the tomatoes. (This analogy might extend to females as well….perhaps except for the cages.) Do you know how much work it takes to establish even minimum order in a garden? It’s amazing.

When we schlep out our lives without the benefit of an experienced gardener (nurturer, father, mentor, etc.) we tend to grow wild. We may be expert in the creation of abundant fertilizer (BS, etc.) but we often plant ourselves in the wrong soil. (I fear it’s past time to watch “Being There” again.)

And sometimes we water ourselves with booze or pills. Last of all, and most important of all, we cannot grow without the Light. Our red-diaper-doper-baby hippie-generation black lights just wouldn’t do the job, although it made the wall posters look cool.

But all in all, you seem to have been transplanted into better soil. Oh, the fertilizer is still abundant but that comes with being a guy. Still, it’s good to have you as a friend. No hugs. Just spit on the ground and scratch yourself. That’s what real men do.

Yikes, Timothy. It’s of no help to know that stepparents tend to be nasty, statistic-wise (and broom-wise) to children who are not their own. Sad, but true in far too many cases. Your father died honorably in service to his country. That’s no fault of your mother’s. But it’s another reason why no-fault divorce has just devastated this country and its children.

From the title, this may be a suitable place to mention an article in The Blaze about a literature professor who happens to be conservative (a miracle in itself) and the contract he offers students at the beginning of each semester. It's basically an anti-snowflake message suggesting that anyone triggered by genuinely different ideas and unable to discuss them without just slamming them as lacking social justice should quit while they're ahead.

The idea is to make it difficult for social justice warriors to smear him and get the school to do their dirty work for them. He's been doing it for 3 years (and was already using a milder version before then), and I guess it's worked well so far. The link is:
