Well, she got her name (I think I've mentioned this here before) because they wanted someone with M-appeal (i.e., man-appeal). And they got it. But there obviously have been plenty of good-looking women on TV and in the movies. Incidentally, watching a Twilight Zone episode last night on MeTV, I noticed Patrick MacNee as a minor character. Diana Rigg also hosted Mystery! after Vincent Price left. But my favorite Avengers girl may have been Joanna Lumley as Purdey. Not as cool a costume as the emmapeeler, though.

Lumley is one of those very rare cases where I think she got better looking when she got into her mid-to-late 40's.

I kind of like the Nazi swastika behind the entreatment console.

I believe that is a Nazi naval ensign.

Hitler apparently designed the Nazi flag and SS uniform, among other things. He was, after all, an artist (if evil one) at heart.

He actually lived on selling small watercolors while he was in Vienna. Most of his customers were Jewish, according to Ian Kershaw's biography. When he applied to a college of art in Vienna, they recommended he try the school of architecture, which unfortunately required a college diploma. That's one reason for his rapport with Albert Speer, who actually was a professional architect and designed some airplane factories for Erhard Milch.

A wonderful example of the utopia which is the result of libertarian/leftist pipe dreams.

This is only one result of their insane ideas.

Well, San Francisco is hardly a libertarian paradise, though there are some aspects that no doubt please libertarians a lot more than they do conservatives.

Ann Coulter once sought the Libertarian Party nomination against liberal Rep. Chris Shays in the exurban NYC district in Connecticut. They agreed on a lot (though hardly everything), but disagreed on others. But it still could have given them their best candidate ever in the state. Then came the deal-breaker -- she opposes drugs.

Jacob Sullum is a libertarian from Reason who shows up on Town Hall. Most of his articles seem to be about drug legalization. Gee, I wonder why he's so obsessed with the issue when there is so much else where libertarians see much room for improvement. We often agree with them.

You'd have to be nuts to visit San Francisco as a tourist. Many places in California are becoming like this.

Most of those tourists are probably affluent whites (and even if they aren't, the leftists running the city probably think they are). So who in Babylon-on-the-Bay would care about them?

San Francisco has been in a downward spiral for decades. My wife and I could see the not-so-slow decline of S.F. as we would stop there for a day on numerous flights to and from the USA and Asia.

While my father was studying Greek at the Monterey Presidio, we made a one-day jaunt to San Francisco back in the spring of 1960, including some sightseeing as well as a game at Candlestick Park (the first baseball game I ever recall attending). That is the sum total of my experience of the city. I gather it's greatly changed since then.
