Benghzai Redux — In the Void

Benghaziby Anniel   6/3/14
On the night of May 30, 2014, I made the nightmare mistake of reading the portion of Hillary’s new book explaining her take on Benghazi.

There are others who are revealing Clinton’s self-serving explanations of what happened in Benghazi. But when she says she takes full responsibility for the horror of the loss of life in Beghazi and then accuses other people of manipulating the tragedy for partisan gain, what are we to conclude? Either she’s responsible or she’s not.

When anyone with their eyes and ears opened knew within hours what had gone down in Benghazi, how can she say that there has been a regrettable amount of misinformation, speculation, and flat-out deceit by some in politics and the media. Of course there was, but it came only from the regime she was part of.

She claims, ” . . . There is a difference between unanswered questions and unlistened to answers.” What factual answers have ever been given by Mrs. Clinton to anyone? And just what does this sentence mean since no answers have been given?

As for “What difference at this point does it make?” She sniffs, “Of course that’s not what I said.” You just thought it was when you heard her say it with your own lying ears.

“I will not be a part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans. It’s just plain wrong, and it’s unworthy of our great country. Those who insist on politicizing the tragedy will have to do so without me.” Sorry, but you are front and center on that slugfest on the backs of those dead Americans. But what is she saying here, that she will refuse to testify?

It was at this point I gave up. My thinking simply could not wrap itself around what she was saying as I tried to fathom her mind. I kept feeling as though we are all missing something vital about people who really don’t see when they have done wrong. I spent the next day and night in a funk about this matter, getting more and more out of sorts.

In spite of the “facts” as given by Hillary, if she is even correct in everything she says, those facts are nothing compared to the callous disdain for the families of the dead shown by Obama, Hillary, Biden and other members of this terrible regime. How can they close their hearts and souls to those families and the promises they made to them?

I finally decided that those families don’t even enter the mind of the President and Mrs. Clinton, they have ceased to exist in their world. Then Deanna Chadwell’s image of Barack Obama arising from the abyss with his teleprompter to present the Ten Commandments Inside Out hit me. Nietzsche spoke of what happens when we gaze too long into the abyss, that the abyss also looks back at us. Is that why these people are so crass? They have stared so long into the abyss, the void, that it has destroyed them?

Remember how Mrs. Clinton treated the little people around her when she was First Lady? Billy Dale and the Travel Office staff come immediately to mind. Remember how employees in the White House were not allowed to make eye contact with Hillary, so they had to drop their heads when she came by? How she treated the military, even making them act as waiters at official functions? How she made her Secret Service Agents carry her shopping bags? At this point, treating people poorly, as though they are serfs, is ingrained in Hillary’s persona.

Being totally void of all normal human feeling is the only explanation that makes sense. So what exactly are Hillary, Obama and others like them?

The Roman poet Ovid told the story of Narcissus, a very beautiful man, and the nymph, Echo, who loved him. Narcissus spurned all love directed at him, even that of his mother, so the goddess Nemesis put a curse on him that he would never be able to hold on to love when he found it. One day in the hills he stopped at a stream to drink, and for the first time saw his reflection. He was immediately enthralled and reached out to touch it, but of course he could not hold his beautiful reflection so he stayed at the side of the stream, gazing on such beauty until he died. Echo mourned for him, weeping in the hills. It is a mistake to say that Narcissus loved himself, for there was nothing inside, he had no “self” and loved only his “image.”

I know we are supposed to love our fellow men and not judge them, but I’m afraid narcissists like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton love only their carefully crafted images and are empty inside. Hillary’s craving for publicity and Barack Obama’s obsession for “selfies” is the same attempt Narcissus made to catch his own beautiful image.

Their time in the abyss, in the void, makes them enemies to our country, but they are still our neighbors we are to love. Maybe we are the Echoes, mourning in the hills for what might have been. • (1042 views)

A very accurate summation of the character (or lack thereof) of Slick Hilly, the Fire Witch. Unfortunately, this sort of callousness (masquerading as compassion) and pathological dishonesty seems to be what Democrat voters want for their presidential candidates, since that’s what they’ve chosen for over 20 years.

This pretense of “taking responsibility” is an old Washington tradition. I’ve suggested that those doing so should contribute an appropriate portion of their salary to charity. If Slick Hilly had admitted fault and given up a month’s salary, that might have done much to assuage the hostility, for example. Instead, they say “I take full responsibility” — which in Washington (and especially Obama Gang) lingo for not taking any actual responsibility (in the form of accountability) at all.

Accepting responsibility for one’s actions or of the actions of one’s subordinates has not been fashionable with America’s elites for a long long time.

The Clintons are past masters at twisting language and passing the buck when it comes to contrition. For Hillary and her ilk, the punishment is having to pretend to be sorry. It cramps their style.

Hillary is called wise by her peers, but has never shown it.

Hillary & Bill could’ve just fired Billy Dale and the six others, but their narcissism had already been taken aback after previous terminations.
(Their courtier press isn’t always 100% on board.)
They had fired previous employees for “slots” in a different department. I remember the black lady being thankful she could retire under a Democrat President – she just got it a little quicker, and a few reporters dared raise an eyebrow.
The Clintons were expecting docile cooperation from the press, and got 89% of it.
Hillary chaffed at the missing 11% so the next firing had to have “just cause”.
So “Sir Edmund” Hillary thought feeding the press a juicy embezzling charge against Dale would serve her needs. (She didn’t think it through, did she?)

In the end, the black lady at least got to keep her life savings. Dale got a colonoscopy via the FBI, the IRS, false accusation, financial ruin, all courtesy of Hillary . . . and that was only the beginning of Hillary’s folly.

I’m sorry, but what exactly did Nixon do again?

I remember liberals defending the Travel Office firings on the grounds that they serve at the pleasure of the President. (So do federal attorneys, but they were careful to forget that when Albert Gonzalez fired a bunch of them.) They chose not to understamd that the atrocity was the false accusations (and legal charges resulting therefrom).
